We supply CT scanners, new or refurbished, and we make the room ready to receive them. Specification, shielding, power, cooling, rigging, commissioning and acceptance testing, with one contact from the enquiry to the first patient.

What to settle before anyone quotes you a price

Two scanners with the same slice count can be very different machines. These are the points that decide whether the quotation you are comparing is honest.

PointWhy it decides the priceWhat we confirm in writing
Detector rows and slices per rotationDrives throughput and what examinations are possible at allPhysical detector rows, not an interpolated slice count
Rotation time and scan coverageDetermines cardiac and paediatric capabilityMinimum rotation time and z-axis coverage per rotation
Generator power and tube heat capacitySets how many patients before the tube has to coolGenerator rating and tube heat unit capacity, plus tube age on a refurbished unit
Dose managementPatient dose, and increasingly a regulatory expectationWhich dose modulation and iterative reconstruction options are licensed, not just installed
Software licencesHalf the clinical value sits in licensed optionsThe licence list, with what is perpetual and what expires
Conformity and authorisationDecides whether you can legally switch it onIEC 60601-2-44, the declaration of conformity, and who holds the authorisation to operate in your country
Service and partsThe real cost of ownershipWarranty, response time, tube cover, and parts availability for the next years

The room, which is where projects slip

  • Structure. Gantry and table weight concentrated on a small footprint, plus the dynamic load during rigging. The slab is checked before the order, not after.
  • Access. The route from the street to the room: doors, lifts, corners, floor protection. More scanners are delayed by a doorway than by a supplier.
  • Shielding. Lead thickness and layout calculated for the workload and the occupancy of adjacent rooms, by a qualified radiation physicist.
  • Power. Three-phase supply sized for the generator peak, earthing, and the protection the manufacturer requires.
  • Climate. Dedicated cooling sized for the heat rejected by the gantry and the technical room, holding the temperature and humidity band the manufacturer specifies.
  • Network. PACS and RIS connection, DICOM conformance checked against what you already run.

How the project runs

Survey

Visit, measurements, existing drawings, power and access check, and a written report of what the room needs.

Specify and quote

Configuration matched to your case mix and your budget, with the licence list and the site works priced separately so nothing hides.

Prepare and install

Civil works, shielding, power, cooling, then delivery, rigging and installation with the manufacturer’s engineer.

Commission and hand over

Acceptance testing, PACS connection, operator training, documentation file, and the start of the warranty.

Common questions

New or refurbished?

Both, and the honest comparison is on total cost over five years, not on the purchase price. A refurbished unit is quoted with its history, the hours on the tube, the parts replaced, the warranty offered and its regulatory status in your country. If any of that cannot be documented, we say so rather than sell it anyway.

Can you work with a scanner we have already bought?

Yes. Room preparation, shielding, power, cooling and rigging only, with the manufacturer handling the installation. That is a normal scope for us.

How long from order to first patient?

It depends far more on the room than on the machine. Where the room exists and only needs adapting, it is usually a matter of weeks after delivery; where it has to be built, the civil works set the date. We give you a dated programme with the offer.

Send us the room and the requirement

A room drawing, the throughput you need and the budget range. We come back with a configuration, a lead time and the site works that go with it.
